Regarding programming languages' efficiency, it's a pretty interesting topic to consider in this time of climate change. There can be trade-offs like for example in the case of Python vs. Rust, while you gain a lot in terms of performance and resource utilization with Rust, you lose a lot in terms of development speed, from what I understand (I have not programmed with Rust yet, nor any large projects with Python). I hope that more programmers begin to consider these factors when picking a language to develop with.

Yes, but I've felt this way for quite a while. It's not recent. I think it has to do not only with personal family stuff, but also national and world systems, and most especially climate change. All stuff that has been going off the rails or threatening to. Also ADHD here.

By the way, this movie may be of interest to some of you, as it deals with this kind of feeling (a little more dramatized and specific for the story, but it portrays the feeling of impending doom fairly well, I think): Take Shelter (2011)

Maybe it's just my face shape, but I basically extend the top and bottom panels almost completely. The edge of the bottom panel is pretty well under my chin. Comparing with your photo, I think my middle panel would be a little lower relative to my face. Maybe you can find a video somewhere on how to best fit that particular mask?

Edit: the other thing I do after extending the panels is to put the mask on my face pretty much where/how I'm going to wear it, then pull the rubber bands over my head, then do some final fine adjustments to make sure that there are no gaps.

I didn't look at the details of those three communities before posting them. I was just pointing out what I had found on a search. I don't mind lemmy.ml. and prefer it over lemmy.world, but I can understand that some people don't like .ml. I'm glad that you and others are creating alternatives to .world communities anyway.

I figure that Mbin is not too bad, since PHP seems to be quite a bit faster than Python too.

I'm not too keen on Piefed because it's written in Python, which is multiple times less than Rust (what Lemmy is written in) for a server back-end application. It just seems like a waste of electricity or adding more carbon to the atmosphere than it should, for a widely-used server application.

I see, I misunderstood then. From your first post that I replied to, I assumed that you were using Microsoft Office. Sorry for the confusion. You're welcome! I've never used it myself, but I get the impression that it works well.

I think I understand. I don't know how Grammarly compares to Microsoft Office in terms of privacy though.
