In theory, perfectly reasonable, but in practice in a first past the post political system, you are helping whichever of the two main candidates you were least likely to vote for.

Mad at current candidates?! Join your local org; make better candidates. Protest by becoming a delegate instead.

Red or blue or green -- more of us involved at the lower levels means more representation at 'the top'. (at least Democratic; I don't know how the republican party works)

If we are staring down the barrel of a Gavin Newsom presidential run, and we all think that's a terrible idea (right?), we still have ability to push for and find better candidates by being part of the local precincts, who send delegates eventually to the national committee.

Where do you think those 'super delegates' come from, who is helping pick how to spend DNC advert money? The people who elect DNC leadership came from precincts.

What if I was 0% likely to vote for either of them?

If you're a "both sides equally bad" type without more moral objections to one side over the other, you're in the clear!

What if you won't support a party that did and does genocide?

I think my point still stands. Think both sides are wrong? Pick a side and help fix it; just get involved in your local politics as well as the national ones.

I think the number of overall real human people who are for real human rights is vaaaaastly higher than the number of ghouls out there trying to take power by force. Get involved.

I've been to several No-Kings protests (example, among others) and the number of Palestinian flags and the love those people get is undeniable. I don't know anyone who is in support of genocide. I think there's a very vocal minority of "people" - but probably a lot of money - that influence where policy goes. We can oust a zionist and/or corrupt politician before they become the front-runner by being in the gears. I think we do that by getting involved

It might not be fast, but it'll be faster than giving up. Get involved.

In the shorter term, do you think that - of the options we have at this moment - there is a worse choice?

How about you vote against them while getting involved.

Then perfect is the enemy of better and the side of the greater evil ends up winning.

Sounds like it's time to stop the country that won't stop doing evil, lol.

That would be great! Better vote in the party that has even a few members who would support that rather than the one that has absolutely none. Have to start somewhere.

So you agree that your country is evil and should be stopped. Then trump causing the collapse of the country is good for the rest of the planet, right?

No, because it will drag the rest of the world down with it. There are better ways to make its government at least less evil to start. Or, barring that, the rest of the world needs to further unhook its reliance on it so a collapse would have minimal impact on everyone else.

Fair, I'm just hoping the rest of the world gets its shit together sooner rather than later and sanctions the country out of existence!

While a redemption would be best, turning it into a pariah is second best if it can't ever get its shit together. No matter what, though, its old role as the "world's policeman" is over.

It's funny how all you .mlers tacitly support Trump, or at the very least align your beliefs with his claims.

Would Kamala have gotten us into a war with Iran, .mler? Wrong answers only.

Trump should have been executed after he tried to coup the government. Yes, Kamala campaigned with Liz Cheny on having the most lethal military in the world, there is a good chance she would have bombed Iran. At the very least she was going to continue to arm Israel to continue the job Biden accelerated.

Are you advocating voting for a party guilty of genocide, lib?

Oh hey would you look at that, Stephen Miller claimed Kamala would have invaded Iran too.

I literally said he should have been executed, lmfao.

Sounds a little delusional, friend. And I don't speak for an entire instance, as I'm sure most people on yours are thankful you don't speak for all of them!

Edit: also, not a denial, this guy is literally pro genocide according to his own logic, lmao.

Yet your messaging aligns directly with the fascists! Interesting how that works.

Also no, I'm not pro genocide. I just understand that petulantly shitting myself when the world doesn't immediately bend to my whim is an ineffective strategy. Something you've yet to figure out, which is why what you say and what Stephen Miller says aligns.

Just admit that you love the Trump presidency

Lmfao, I bet you took kamalas loss real well, champ. I also bet you behaved like a totally normal person and blamed the establishment for not doing their job and earning votes, and not the voters who wouldn't support genocide, afterwards.

The irony of this statement is palpable. I'm just gonna let it sit here.

If you think me saying trump should have been executed is endorsing him or his positions, I don't know what to tell ya.

I'm sure you've said similar sentences to him before, and when it's something as obvious as "will an American president go to war", I think most people would agree with me and old nosferatool.

Doesn't bother me, I don't live in your shit hole, and American foreign policy is generally bipartisan.

Oh we're going with 'I'm rubber, you're glue'?

Got it, so you have no answer as to why you align with Stephen Miller. Just admit you love Trump, it's easier for everyone that waymn
