Whenever I see complaints like these, purposefully vague about what kind of "exteme views" they have a problem with, I have to think of this meme

If Lemmy is extreme leftist, this person is likely to be conservative or they keep stumbling into Grad and think that’s the whole platform.

I tend to lean towards ineptitude in this case though.

I mean, we are way lefter than reddit, and given that the bell curve of intelligent responses is located at about the same place, we probably look a lot further left than we are to liberals and right of there. (i.e. stupid responses and extremist responses look pretty similar.)

Not sure if poorly phrased or pseudo-intellectual argument for horseshoe theory and/or enlightened centrism.
