| You expect a 10yr old console to resume back to normal?

Yes? I recently considered trading in my old Xbox 360, but when I booted it up I discovered I still had around a hundred games still stored locally.

After the wave of nostalgia subsided, I realized how lucky I was. Keeping that bad boy forever.

Luckily, it's one of the cases which can be fixed with a little oven time

thats a temporary bandaid that can shorten the life of other things on the board.

its been years, but IIRC the only actual fix for the issue, besides getting an xbox 360 slim, was to have someone with the tools and know how remove and reball the CPU and GPU with good quality leaded solder.
