Revanced - Video & Music? With a 1,3 (out of 5) ⭐ review score on the Playstore? Apparently full of adds? That apparently needs consent for 121 vendors and 74 advertising vendors?

Maybe I am missing something and I should sideload?

You are definitely missing something and should side load from a trusted source.

Why would you think that Google would let a working YouTube-ad evader on the play store?

On the other side of that it's super shitty that they let a fake app that is ad spam named revanced on the app store. ~~Don't~~ be extra evil.

Use Morphe now, it's a fork of ReVanced. It's great. You need to get the patcher from their website, and patch the YouTube app yourself. They make it pretty easy.

Obviously an app removing ads from YouTube wouldn't be published to the official store
