Yeah - until I see George W Bush hanging in The Hague, Americans should probably shut the fuck up about their advice to other countries on how to deal with war criminals.

Not all of us are American.

Many of us opposed Bush and Putin.

IIUC, Bush thought he could deal with Putin.

nobody said everyone was American? Just that Americans shouldn't be lecturing anyone about harboring war criminals, considering how Georgie is painting happily and Condie Rice is still advocating more bloodshed.

So 330 million people should just shut up about Putin because they were born in a country that has bad leaders?

Also, FWIW, there might have been 2 assassination attempt on Trump; and many Americans, including politicians, freely denounce Trump.

I would think that given your own leaders are gleefully committing war crimes, and in theory you have more power in your own country than you do in Russia, you would want to stop your own country from committing its never ending litany of war crimes. Which it has been doing for decades.

Because otherwise it seems your problem isn't war crimes, but who does them.

Yeah, granted: the nation of America is imperialist, warmongering, and has bad government, and a good proportion of Americans are okay with that—but not all Americans.

    Not all Americans.

    Not all Russians.

and if, say, a German, Icelander, Irish person, Iranian, or a Palestinian says something stupid, I will call wt:thon (þon) out on that regardless on how well behaved and/or victimized þons country is.

OK. So then you have to either say that America is not a democracy - it does not represent the views of its populace - or that the majority of Americans ARE just fine with their government that kills millions.

At a certain point, Americans are Good Germans.

    I suppose yes.

So imagine a German in 1943 denouncing the US for its horrible treatment of blacks and indigenous at the time and maybe the past 10 years earlier.

An American replies, "Shut the hell up! Your country is a Nazi dictatorship! You shouldn't be lecturing anyone about the bad treatment of minorities and other peoples!"

"I'm not a Nazi, in the last 3 elections, I voted SPD."

"It doesn't matter, Hitler runs your country. He was elected because at heart you're all Nazis!"

That's exactly the point. Voting SPD (which, btw, made the mistakes that put the Nazis in power) doesn't absolve you from the responsibilities of what your country does.

Either vote with your feet, or start doing more. Because the people you're murdering need more than you just voting harder.

It seems that according to your political morality, Hitler, every member of the SS, every guard in Auschwitz, every other member of the Nazi Party, and every other German who didn't make it out of the country or didn't want to wind up in prison or dead in a probable futile fight, is equally bad.

Meanwhile Churchill, every British soldier, every other citizen of United Kingdom, including every Nazi sympathizer and/or imperialist is equally good.

No American can talk about another country's bad deeds because what America is doing.

America had no business invading Nazi Germany, until they first got rid of their racism, and maybe paid restitution for slavery and return territory to the indigenous.

UK had no business invading Nazi Germany until they allowed their territories in Africa and Asia to go independent. Hitler murdered Jews and Slavs, Churchill murdered Bengalis.

Similar with France. How dare they fight against Vichy when they fought against anti-imperialists in Algeria.

Who murdered more Ukrainians? Hitler or Stalin? Maybe the Western allies such as the US should have let them fight it out.

    is equally bad.

No, and that's a strawman. But the Americans who are sitting back going "well I voted for Kamala, it's not MY problem" are bad. And that's all I said.

The rest of your nonsense is the same strawman.

Who murdered more Ukrainians? Hitler or Stalin?

    Hitler.

No, and that’s a strawman. But the Americans who are sitting back going “well I voted for Kamala, it’s not MY problem” are bad. And that’s all I said.

Perhaps in other words, you can't be bothered trying to refute what I posted.

    Hitler.

    You're probably right.

    wp:Holodomor

Around 3.5 to 5 million in Ukraine; see death toll

wp:World War II casualties of the Soviet Union#Estimated losses by Soviet republic

    6,850,000

So I guess neither the Germans in the 1940s were in any position to criticize the Soviets over Holodomor, nor the Russians in the 1930s were in any position to criticize Ukraine.

Meh, you want to dive into the Holodomor - there were even larger amounts of famine deaths in other SSRs, so depends what you're calling "murdered". Whereas the Nazi extermination campaign in Ukraine was purposeful murder.

you can't be bothered trying to refute what I posted

That you equate different things and therefore decide that you magically are in the right?

    Wow, amazing that.

Meanwhile your war criminals are running around free. Donald Rumsfeld died in his bed, Georgie is painting soldiers. How many dead from their war?

    So I guess

Yes, I think you spend lots of time doing that.

    Were their percentages higher?

so depends what you’re calling “murdered”.

    premeditated killing.

    They're indefensible too.

20% isn't many. I know, because I was getting tear gassed on the streets.

Meanwhile, the rest of you are . . . . what? Going along with your war criminals showing up for hugs.

I guess you aren't going to answer the question.

    I already have. See above.

Kudos to you for being out on the streets.

    20% x >280 million people x >60% adults = 33.6 million

    33.6 million is many.

Meanwhile, the rest of you are . . . . what? Going along with your war criminals showing up for hugs.

Nope: I haven't hugged any war criminals, nor have many Americans.

If half of the eligible voters in the US, perhaps 30%, did what I did and not voted for him, he wouldn't have become President.

I'm hoping that the GOP loses both Houses in 45 days: such could save lives in Iran.

such could save lives in Iran.

Where have the Democrats said they're going to stop the war in Iran?

I'm honestly asking - the only stuff I've seen is the same nonsense they tried in 2004 of "well, the war should be fought better", ignoring that the war itself is literally a war crime.

Who said that I'd vote for Democrats?

    That said, in the past 50 years, things seem to simmer down when they're in power;

though they tend to have some foul-ups:

Carter: Iran loses the Shah and gains theocracy

Obama: the failed Arab Spring and rise of Islamic State, Russia invades and occupies Crimea

Biden: Fall of Kabul; Russia tries to take out Ukraine after, IIRC, trying to assure us that Russia wouldn't

Your cynicism is warranted: I have it too.

However, if they get in power, Trump will spend more of his time getting ready for impeachment, and they'll control the purse strings (or more of them at least).

Great - so Chuck Schumer can do nothing, but when Trump implodes the Democrats are there to take the blame.

They serve only one purpose currently - keeping the left from having any political power. There's a reason they hysterically demand you vote blue no matter who - it's not because it works (the past 3 decades show that). It's because without that, they'd be out of jobs, and an actual opposition party would be required.
