So what prevents the rest of the states from declaring a state of emergency and voiding the 24.4 cents for diesel, and 18.4 cents for standard fuel that is taxed by the federal government?

I get wanting to make fun of them but there are ways to reduce fuel prices via a state of emergency, don't get me wrong it'd hurt like a bitch but you could do it.

What are you on about? You seem to show the same lack of civics knowledge as the person I replied to. Do you understand what federalism is?

I was moreso referring to work from home mandates, and putting in incentives out to reduce the amount of trucks on the road stuff like that. I legit don't see what relevance fuedalism has in this situation since that's basically irrelevant to things like price controls.

I see you did as well in reading and spelling as you did in civics.

  • Nah, just have a brain fuck of a migraine, I'd rather be safe with superfluous apostrophes than fuck up a sentence completely.

Regardless nothing about what I said is impossible, unwarranted, or unprecedented. Frankly it'd be better to take proactive measures to reduce fuel prices or at least reduce fuel consumption than risk economic collapse because no one can due interstate trade outside of the rails which would bottleneck badly. Don't think anyone wants the fuel crisis from the 70s back, but we may not have much of a choice given current circumstances.
