Found the paradox gamer. Don't worry I've got a collective couple thousand hours across their catalog.

I'll fite you in Stellaris! Or I would, if they ever fix the multiplayer late game slowdown/desync issues...

I have so many interesting civilization builds I want to try against real opponents.

God, the desync is awful! It gets worse if you have these fun and awesome mods that are completely unoptimized. I mostly play single player, but it would be nice if my friends and I could get to midgame.

I'd be fine if they spent an entire releasing no DLC or other content updates, and instead focused on fixing the desync. I can live with it being slow! But damn, I do not understand how it can be so complicated to fix that desync.

I'm not a programmer, but..... Just resync? There is already a server, so there is a source of absolute truth for the gamestate. I dunno.

Legit can't get into that game. It's like the one game in their entire catalogue that I don't particularly like that isn't something truly ancient like Svea Rike. Vicky 2 on the otherhand I really fucken like, also NGL I like EUVs goods system.

I like it because I'm a huge nerd for the victorian era and I think the historical flavour stuff is really well fleshed out, but I do accept that a lot of the game mechanics are janky and unclear!

  • My problems aren't generally with the mechanics themselves since I like Vicky 2, my big problem is that the UI is too minimalist so that it obscures information. Like I said I like EUV which uses a very similar system but things tend to be a good bit clearer.
