More than one person has told me their class consciousness started with an Ant's Life.

Idk I didn't see these movies, it might be thanks for the correction if so.

I am already very enthusiastic about, uh, nevermind.

I find it neat from a psychological standpoint the way your brain merged the two titles into one.

The way I merged two things i've never seen? You are a [redacted] clearly.

I don't understand. My comment wasn't meant to be an insult.

If I stuck a nerve, it wasn't intentional. I'm just fascinated by how the brain works.

It's also possible they were aware of both individual titles, and conflated them purposefully to elicit the response it got. Given the OCs responses to some of the comments, I'm inclined to lean into this explanation.

Which is also fascinating in its own right.

Just using [redacted] doesn't mean your not an abelist asshole if you still think of using terms like that.

Give it a rest, nobody wants to ban words like stupid, moron, idiot, asshole, douchebag. No one, and you will harm us all in continuing to try.

You are also grasping at straws for a criticism here. You have nothing,

    Yes.

(I only saw Antz but not A Bug's Life, and just sort of assumed Antz had the more subversive social message because it wasn't Disney.)

Definitely. The collective workers rise up against the militaristic ruling class, after, of course, those rulers attempt to murder them all for their 'glorious future'. Unfortunately, Antz and A Bug's Life also share something else in common. Both star sex pests in the leading role.

This is like saying you learned about the late Renaissance era of history, and marine biology, from watching The Little Hunchback of Notre Dame.

or perhaps their interest started there as a child, causing them to study further later? that doesn't sound like a crazy statement

I meant more so that learning about social issues from corporate children's entertainment might not be the highest-fidelity way to do that, and that combining the two names into one "story" means that it's like the lessons learned from "Disney-PIxar's Antz' Life" might be jumbled a bit.
