NSFW seems extreme. It's violence, but not unsafe for work. There's no blood or gore. We only truly know there's harm done due to news reports. Marking it NSFW would mean the largest UK Lemmy instance would then not be able to see this UK content because of our stupid internet laws.

A violence tag would make sense though.

They were severely, permanently injured, and the violent idiot had been charged.

The assailant should have their life ruined. Certainly lose their car and license.

The other person who just watched and walked away should suffer, too.

Well, by reading the article I learned he was arrested years ago. I'm not certain we need to hunt him down.

Mr Brown smashed his head off the road and suffered serious head injuries including a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. Cowardly Hedley then left the 34-year-old cyclist lying unconscious in the middle of the road before getting back into his car and driving off.

Hedley, from Kirkcaldy, Fife, subsequently found out police had put out an appeal to find the motorist involved and he handed himself into a local station two days later. Hedley pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Brown to his severe injury, permanent impairment and to the danger of his life when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, September 22.

Yeah, I don't blame the biker, but I was very surprised how he didn't react at all to the guy, not even grabbing onto him so that he couldn't easily throw him down.

Actually, Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I’m from Texas. I once witnessed a guy who took a lady cyclist right of way, nothing much you may say, but I got my gun out and shot a hole in the car’s motor the size of a bowling ball. An eye for an eye, thought him a lesson I tell you. Alas, this altercation was witnessed by the police, and I was arrested for aggravated assault. Seems the female cyclist didn’t have the right of way after all. I write these lines from prison, but I would still vote for Trump in the next election.

And if that driver also rode with a gun?
