Mine was "Magic" by Olivia Newton John. Sounds like it set the mood just fine.

Forget number 1s, what was your mother's maiden name?

Dunno about 9 months before but when I was born 'No Limit' by 2Unlimited was #1, and when my wife was born it was the Smurfs's cover of that song.

Specifically chose this to avoid phishing options.

#1 songs often spend weeks as #1. Mine spent 5 weeks up there. Call my bank and tell them my DOB is a range of 5-6 weeks and see how for you get. Especially since pregnancies are 40 weeks. I even know mine was 41. That's not 9 months. Lots of rounding here intentionally to protect people.

The number one song around the time I was conceived was the "Theme from Shaft".

    You're damn right it was...

Is this another one of those data mining tricks? Nice try. I'm not giving a bunch of Internet strangers any hints what month & year I was born. What's your next post gonna be? Correlate this list of quirky words with each digit of your social security number to find your band name?

"The Happy Organ" (snicker) and "The Battle of New Orleans."

But I think for us non-firstborn kids, it's more about parents having a rare half-hour of privacy when they're not too tired to use it reproductively.

Interesting thought experiment haha. "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" by Whitney Houston. Can’t say I’d blame my parents for that one.
