Property records are public in most areas of the US. Same with a ton of other records. These get scraped from government websites by data brokers, or shadey scraper companies that sell to data brokers. Then you just pay the data broker to search and get the info just like a google search.

So meta having this info and giving it out is not really surprising. What surprises me is they’re giving it out for free, but I guess not really because the user is paying to use their AI. 🤷
