I mean it feels people with medium to high education levels are starting to speak in non-specific manner and use too much fiction and metaphors, which I call bullshit.

They don't even add their experience or even mention other people experiences. They don't use science. Most of their talks seem very emotional.

What the heck is happening?

Why are people willing to output non-rational bullshit to fill space, instead of talking with logic, reason and relevance?

And why now? What change caused this?

The irony of your post is that you complain that people are "starting to speak in non-specific manner and use too much fiction and metaphors" whilst, yourself, not being specific about what you're referring to, and using metaphors (referring to non bovine excrement as "bullshit"). If this was some sort of meta post, I take my hat off to you, otherwise, could you give examples?

  • The chief problem with bots on the internet is that eventually the humans succumb to peer pressure and become bots as well. The chief problem with acting like a bot online is your online behavior seeps into your irl behavior. Et voila! we have bots in real life.

Because if everyone told the truth in a straightforward manner, no one would go along with whatever people expect to be "the natural order" of things. Of course what "natural order" means is group or individual specific.

Can you explain what do you mean exactly?

I am asking because I don't think I understand your opinion here.

If I am a leader of a state and say I want to invade another state to pillage their resources, some people would object. Maybe not the majority, but enough to cause political problems. If I start media campaigns that women or children are being oppressed, or that that state plans to invade us or an ally, it engages an amygdala response, rather than a prefrontal cortex response, and visceral emotions will almost certainly carry the response from the majority, even if we oppress our own women and children, or plan to invade a state for their resources, anyway.

    Do you have any examples?
