Do most people just throw away a thing they dislike or something? Idk why it's noteworthy to commit to the decision you made.

I thought adding a bit of oregano to my omlette would be nice. I too lived with the consequences.
I have done that with beer. I never get the same beer twice, I always get a variety.
Protip: pistachio beer tastes like sadness.
Raspberry can work with coffee IF you add cocoa, similarly I would imagine orange would do better with some chocolate as well.
What is WRONG with you?!
I let the bad thoughts in and ordered a drink that was a mix of espresso and root beer. It wasn't undrinkable, but I wouldn't order it again.
Cold brew and Jarritos mandarin soda is actually pretty good.
Orange and chocolate is a thing so I can see how they might think it would be worth trying.
Disgusting
"i am living with the consequences" goes hard. major personal accountability. I respect it. props to OOP for extending mercy too tho.
Honestly, that's my type. "I fucked up but I won't complain my way to trying for something better." I agree, good on both of em.
My family's motto growing up was "Eat all mistakes." It mostly applied to not wasting food, even if you messed it up. So when I baked cookies in the oven after my mom made a roast, but forgot to turn the temperature down and burned the shit out of them, I had to eat them all. Stuff like that. It really taught me to pay more attention, and appreciate when food was good, even if it wasn't my favorite.
Nowadays I use it for a lot of things - if I decide to watch a show that ends up not being great, I'll eat my mistake and finish the season before dropping it. If I start a hobby that I end up not being as motivated to do as I initially thought I'd be, I eat my mistake and use up the materials I bought before stopping.
It both gives me an opportunity to make sure I really don't like something before I give up on it, and also trains me to not dive too deep into something before I know whether I'm going to enjoy it.
I fuck with this hard. I always pick weird foods when I go to a new restaurant, stuff that I don't know what I'm getting, and if it's bad I eat it, if it's good I eat it.
I live with the consequences, and as a consequence of that, I have found some amazing meals and foods that I never would have eaten if I hadn't experimented.
Last week I was drinking rum and rasberry flavoured pepsimax. I didn't buy the mixer but it was the only cola we had. It was not good.
"How's everything tasting, folks?"
"... like I got what I deserved 😑"
"It's exactly what I ordered, thanks. 😵💫"
Was at a restaurant with a friend years ago. He had salad and they came to the table and asked "how is the salad?"
His answer: leafy.
Sonic at one point had a big ad campaign that you could put anything you want in any drink. I bought a strawberry slushy with chocolate syrup in it. Took one drink, cringed, and threw it away. Not my proudest moment.
Worst drink I ever ordered was matcha with hazelnut sryup at dunkin donuts
I love that matcha is more widely available but maybe Dunkins matcha means that it’s too widely available? Dunkins can be trusted with few things, flavored iced coffee, iced tea …. I think that’s it. They don’t even make good donuts anymore, unless you go to the ONE TRUE DUNKINS that still makes donuts in house.
Gotta punish those neurons. Little bastards must be made to learn one way or another
I had an orange latte once it was pretty good only I asked for less sweet and unfortunately all thr sweet came from the orange syrup apparently so it was barely orange at all. Like mfer I asked for orange if I wanted less orange I would have said less orange
I'm the same way, but only because I would get beat by my dad for not finishing my food.
