I get the joke, but Israliel has only been around for about a hundred years, after using ethnic cleansing to steal land from the local populations of Palestineians. Having been around for thousands of years would imply they had consistent ancesteral claim to the land, and if people just take that number at face value they could come out believing that, which is directly something Israeli uses for propaganda to claim they have "a right to exist"
