Even now, under this insanity, I never expected legal, untested gas station injectables from china

Most of the people taking them get really upset when you explain how broad "peptides" are, and what they're actually doing is hormone therapy to make their physical body identify math their mental perception of who they are...

They're not transitioning, but they're still undergoing gender affirming hormone therapy.

Body dysmorphic disorder doesn't have to have a gender dysphoria component.

Gender affirming care does not require gender dysphoria.

Viagra and Cialis are medicines in support gender affirming care. Gynecomastia is performed for men who were amab all the time. Laser hair removal, penile implants, breast augmentation, birth control, rhinoplasty....

All gender affirming care that does not require gender dysphoria to be gender affirming care.

It does if you're going by the WHO definition.

Gender-affirming care, as defined by the World Health Organization, includes a range of social, psychological, behavioral, and medical interventions designed to support and affirm an individual’s gender identity when it differs from the sex they were assigned at birth.

All of the things you listed have nothing to do with gender affirmation.

    No one implied it did...

    Or didn't...

No one even brought up gender dysphoria or body dysmorphic disorder...

Did you mean to reply to someone else? Because there's a weird trend of people doing what you just did and claiming I said wild shit I clearly didn't.

Like, my comment is right there...

You called it gender affirming care. That implies gender dysphoria

    Yes...

    That implies gender dysphoria

    No.

    Really not complicated

    It does by definition.

It's really not complicated. Hormones being involved don't inherently make it gender affirming care.

  • That is a genuinely bad idea. It's so bad I'm actually impressed, because the only people who will suffer are the ones willing to pay for these treatments. So I feel conflicted.

Any idiot that does inject themselves with these substances is just proving Darwinism and evolution. While I disagree with the decision, I don't hate the culling it may bring.

The problem is not that they can't work; some do. It's that an uregulated supply chain for an injectable with no requirement to demonstrate safety or effectiveness is a recipe for a mix of dangerous products and snake oil
