tHiS iS An AD!

Never worked in a corporation? Imagine the marketing people approving a viral ad where violence is the central point and an employee cusses at a customer. Decision makers are typically cowards because they've risen to their level of incompetence, Peter Principled.

This is a dude making a joke. Probably waiting for his pizza, laughing to himself about some road rage he encountered on the way in, thinking, "Be funny if..."

Sometimes y'all too cynical to think things through.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Hot n Ready?

The joke was either fighting or gloryholes.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Sometimes y'all too cynical to think things through.

Ugh, no, thats not cynicism. If you constantly end up in biased results which are like "there's nothing to do", that's cynicism.

honestly at this point the entertainment value makes it acceptable for me

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 37 points 4 days ago (4 children)

I’m certainly not going to eat shitty pizza bc of this violent story.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 17 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That's what I think about literally every ad I see, and yet real data and studies show that advertisements really are worth the billions invested into them each year. We're not immune.

[–] xylol@leminal.space 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Sounds like something a marketing guy would say, you astroturfing for marketers?

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

What they serve cannot be called pizza.

Being aware still helps.

Little Caesars only had to pay a fine of $24k for having children working the oven.

Which adds on to the $161k they paid a few years earlier for child exploitation.

Which adds on to the $110k they paid a few years earlier for child exploitation.

tl;dr: Little Caesars loves fucking kids over.

[–] Lumisal@lemmy.world 26 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Well it's called LITTLE Caesars, not Big Ceasers.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 4 days ago (1 children)

These are franchise run stores, not corporate run stores. This sort of behavior exists across all fast food franchises.

Every fast food place I've ever worked, the owners are trash. They dont work in their own stores except for extreme circumstances. They pay the lowest possible wages and churn through workers all so they can become millionaires. Their personalities were all so toxic that the actual workers prefer them not to be around.

Just one a thousand reasons to only dine at locally owned businesses where the owner is literally working alongside happy staff everyday.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Franchising does not dissolve you of responsibility.

These are Little Caesars and they reflect Little Caesars.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 3 days ago (3 children)

At what point did I say it did?

Franchising makes is all the worse because the corporate brand can claim ignorance.

The problem occurs so often that it's clear that the brand is culpable at the societal level.. If the brands actually cared, this sort of shit would end their franchise. Since the legal system won't fix it, we need to step up and say, "no more" and boycott all franchises.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

If you explain bad behavior around here readers take it to mean you're defending that behavior.

For example; I can usually explain why conservatives think and act the way they do but I don't because I'll just get beat up.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Yep. Not my first experience with it here or elsewhere.

I miss the internet that existed before smart phones because of the intellectual dilution they allowed.

Kids today have no idea what it's like to be in an internet discussion that is majority phds and having to up your game to participate.

The vast majority of commenters today would be dismissed as trolls; that bar has disappeared.

TIL Little Caesars is probably on the Epistein list

[–] BigDiction@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

I doubt that. The Illitch family behave like relatively down to earth billionaires. At least as far as what they do in Detroit.

Oh shit! I was barely 15 when I worked there. I ran the oven, and sold pot to the manager lol.

Speaking as someone who delivered a lot of pizza in a previous life, I can confirm that after being exposed to enough bullshit from customers plus the constant threat of getting jumped and robbed (even from idiots who claimed they were "just joking around"), us delivery drivers absolutely were ready to throw down at any instant, for just about any reason. The counter staff probably less so.

Two dipshits arguing with each other in my lobby (i.e. not arguing with us) wouldn't be one of them, though. That's how you can tell this is fake. I'd have just tossed both of them out on their asses and ate whoever's pizza it was that just got canceled. Deliverator don't give a fuck what your problem is.

I could write a book on the ways people found out after fucking around in the various restaurants I worked at. The statute of limitations has probably come up by now...

[–] scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech 43 points 4 days ago (1 children)

And then everybody clapped

[–] wraithcoop@programming.dev 17 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The name of the guy? Albert Einstein.

[–] inb4_FoundTheVegan@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That's not possible. Einstein famously only worked for, and exclusively ate Quiznos.

You need to check your facts. Do better.

[–] cdf12345@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He loved those subs, cuz they were good to him.

This sounds like one of those "Arby's Boys" skits. Just replacing Arby's with Little Sleazers.

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 36 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I was a dollar tree store manager and took different route

"Sir! Sir, you have beautiful eyes don't risk that. Let it go"

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Plot twist: "Sir" was one of your staff. On-brand WTF for Dullard Tree, 100% 😅

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Close. The other fighter was staff. A man named Phillip. The person who started the fight had nice eyes tho

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

^jesus^ You took his eyes as payment? 😶‍🌫️ I knew there was a catch. There's always a catch.

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Turn around bright eyes Every now and then I fall apart!

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 days ago

The Corinthian has entered the chat

[–] SLVRDRGN@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

TIL people think they're going to Little Caesar's to get "pizza"

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 2 days ago

It's more pizza-like than what you typically can get for $6 at other places. 🤷‍♂️

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

"How was the pizza?"

"Eh. Mid."

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 21 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 17 points 4 days ago

TIL Abraham Lincoln works at Little Caesar's.

[–] Hupf@feddit.org 2 points 2 days ago

Pizza! Huzza!

[–] breecher@sh.itjust.works 9 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

Why is this corporate dick sucking shit so heavily upvoted?

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Because it’s “funny”.

About as funny as any other story that ends with “and everyone clapped and gave me $20”.

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago

Right? I'm not any more inclined to go to Little Caesar's, but I chuckles at a stupid story and that's that.
