This is the kind of thing I used to see under /r/upliftingnews on the other site, along with Americans failing to notice how dystopian it looks to the rest of the world.

Dystopian? They've briefly averted the orphan crushing machine! It's cause for celebration!

That might have been the main reason I left the other site. Wasn't banned, wasn't using apps, but one can only take so much of this being labeled r/wholesome or something before I had enough.

/r/OrphanCrushingMachine

Isn't it lovely that this beautiful child, with a bit of determination and a whole lot of luck, escaped the orphan crushing machine?

This image tells you everything you need to know...

Is that because there are words explaining the image?

A child's face says a lot. Especially the mouth part of the face.

If there was a village, couldn't someone from the village watch the kid while she worked her shift? This is showing that it takes a village, but the village is missing.

"it really does take a village" showing a photo of the village not giving a shit

This happens, and it sucks for the parent and for the customer.

I haven't been to whataburger since i've been yelled by a parent behind the counter because their kid wouldn't leave me the fuck alone and I had the audacity to be kind about it so obviously i'm a pedophile or something.

The system that's trying to dumb you down LOVES when you really believe an image can tell you everything you need to know.

Keep thinking that way, and don't forget your Brawndo!
