Ever since their capitulation and pop up messages about trump I've lost interest in tiktok.

Short form videos are entertaining, and often remarkably informative, but it's fine if the platform dies.

For me when somebody apologizes a lot it feels as though there is a subtle belief that I am the type of person who would be annoyed by the things being apologized for. As though their apology implies that I am an impatient or otherwise short fused person.

It’s important to me that I am patient and forgiving so excessive apologies subtly make me feel like I may be projecting some impatience. Ironically the very activity of constant apologies does lead me to be slightly impatient, quite the conundrum.

Had an old roommate flame me in his journal, he'd rushed out leaving the page open and I saw my name when I went in his room to drop something off.

He said some incredibly valid shit about me being condescending and it changed my outlook on my whole life. Nobody lies to their journal.

I really liked Nathan Stark (Ed Quinn) on Eureka, honestly felt like he was a better character than the main protagonist. He wasn't a direct antagonist but he was written as a rival iirc

While totally agreed with the base sentiment, I do disagree with the idea that inaction is complicity, especially for the poorest with families. Are they still at risk and should they still act? Yes, but survival overrides idealism.

Reductive statements are good for pickets but bad for internalizing. We would start to blame the very victims if we take it to heart without context.

A progressive party would be doomed from the start, the dichotomy of us politics is an issue of inertia not party availability. Unless both parties splinter simultaneously how could it possibly be successful? You think the american people are generally progressive? Look at this last election!

Probably so bluesky can get affiliate money, either changing affiliate links with their own a'la honey or just tracking them to report to advertisers how much traffic is going through their platform to garner deals.

In other words, money

Artists rarely have the ability to enforce copyright unless they're massive. Be real, copyright protects the interests of publishers, not artists.
