The biggest problem is the aging population and the need to support them via social security, etc. As the population ages, the distribution becomes an inverted pyramid and we’ll need to pay for more and more people’s retirement. It’ll slowly become worse and worse as one person will eventually be responsible for the survival of 4-5 old people (and their family notwithstanding). Otherwise I think a declining population is fine.

It’s such an intrgral feature for space flight games (IMO) and it saddens me to see that after all these years they still haven’t implemented it, and the community has to step in.

As much as I advocate for human written code, we should also acknowledge that AI has gotten way more competent recently, esp. on the coding front. I think security and vulnerability scanning, (maybe together with code review?), should be the few valid uses of AI.

Off-topic (somehow?) but I’ve always loved the look and feel of GNOME 3.8. The modern GNOME is too minimal and too corporate. Seeing the old one evokes some warm nostalgic feelings of fiddling with CentOS 7 back then. So it’ll be kinda cool if we have something like this, but for GNOME. And also KDE 4!
