I apologize for the out of the blue response but I finally had sometime to do some digging into this. From what I read the debloat scripts at best remove surface level programs and features. Something’s Microsoft locks at the UI level. AtlasOS and others that the use the Ansible playbook removes some more kernal level processes. Now that being said there are some programs that debloat will remove like Windows store that the base level playbook will not.

That being said if you want to retain windows your best bet is try to use both AtlasOS (playbook) and a debloat to get rid of anything and everything you can.

I’ve now used both and it’s much better than it was ..

It feels misleading doesn’t it ? Like they are trying to pretend like Mastodon doesn’t exist ? I believe Pixelfed is Canadian ? So to services that are not US based ! And very Ad Free !

The platform I can trust ? When none of the current platforms I do trust have any cookies at all ? Or analytics?

I’ll stick with the Fediverse k? Thanks !

For me it’s three key items:

  1. No corporation looking to maximize profits
  2. No ads and no being show items I don’t truly Care for
  3. no unnecessary data mining.

I’d say the people but over the last few weeks that’s changed. Ive seen a lot of unsavory comments. So that’s one thing that’s no better here.

Maybe just an issue with a Reddit like site ?

I’ll always push for Federated version of any platform. In the long haul it’s a better experience.

Would eat them with cream cheese or butter ?

Another group claiming they have people on the team who worked on Guitar Hero and Rock Band. This one looking more like the clone games that already exist.

Also has a fall release date in early access. Originally first to be announced this year. A lot of concern about AI generated content.

No song list either.

Might not be buying any of these out of the gate

When I say normie I mean someone who doesn’t care about self-hosting doesn’t really care that much about privacy and you wouldn’t consider deep tech hobbyist.

If you did , how did you do it ? Did they stay ?
