Got a dremel and have wondered about using it to carve out a turnip. Would probably want one of the large power carving bits, not sure what its like carving things with loads of moisture inside. Pretty sure I remember reading its better to use the flex shaft so you don't risk getting moisture inside the motor.

Bought my house a few years ago, would love to see prices drop. Ideally gradually rather than a sudden crash though. Like if they just stagnate in absolute value and inflation eats away at the labour required to pay for them, that would be great.

Higher minimum wage, static house prices. I see a lot of the middle class crying about minimum wage going up here, I say fuck em. Bring on a living wage for all!

Quick edit - currently rumoured to be that minimum wage will be rising £13.20 (17.50USD).

I just use DDG image search. Started drawing a bit recently and use online images as a starting point sometimes.

Planning on carving a board game on a wooden board, same rules as the game of Ur but possibly going with a different theme for decorating the board. Anglo-Saxon runes, axes and round shields. Been drawing them on paper as a planning stage and to practice as I would draw the outline on wood before carving it.

Isn't this advice basically the same has it has been for years if not decades? Have a few days of food and any medication. Torches, candles etc.

Annoyingly power banks are out of stock here because of this and I need a new one as my old one turned into a spicy pillow recently. Still got 1 left but its nice for us to have 1 each. Still, it lasted like 10 years so that isn't too bad.

Maybe I am being overly cynical but this sounds like a handout to fossil fuel companies to keep people using gas longer. The standing charge was an extra reason to push me towards cutting off my gas supply entirely several years ago and going fully electric.

Crazy thing is despite all the propaganda against it, my heat pump works great in my house that is almost 100 years old. A kW of heat is a kW of heat regardless of where it comes from.
