I just arrived here recently, but I was blown away by the sheer joy of having an actual social space again. Lemmy gives me early 2000s feelings and, given the underlying technology, it might just stay that way.

I realized how little I wanted to go back to reddit after about a week, uninstalled the app, blocked links to reddit in lemmy and never looked back.

... and they're not wrong. Now we have two authoritarian world powers, yay!

So the knifes have come out. I wondered when the stabbings would begin. Expect a lot of changes in Trump's inner circle from here on, it's a constant fight for survival.

Somehow this is the most dystopian thing I've witnessed recently. Just straight up disappearing reality once it doesn't fit the regime's narrative. Chilling.
