At this point the only solution would be to execute (in the literal sense) the fossil fuel industry. I hope the switch sticks as other states in germany already went back and forth (munich i think?). I also hope that more states follow and move to linux.

Not sure how much "believe" is needed when the U.S. steps down in all areas and isolates itself in an astounding rush to the bottom. Only way to save the economy would be a war, which is also always fascisms means to persist. I just hope (in the form of hopium) that the centrists are right and america hasn't already embraced fascism and the U.S. won't start wars with anyone. God knows it sure looks that way watching from europe.

While i absolutely despise the orange turd he has shown what has been true before: The west has been too reliant on the U.S. ,which both sides enjoyed while it lastet, as the U.S. called the shots, the rest of the west followed and we all benefitted (often on the backs of the global south ofc). It is logical if you accept that america has a fascist government. That is how fascism works, put pressure on other countries, bully them and if they do not comply you can point to them for politcal gain. After a while of "warning" and pretending that the other countries are enemies (all so your population gets riled up) you can start wars.
