Good on ya, but you may want to see if your local library will have it as well.

Buying it used? That used to be the norm. Or getting it at the library for free.

I believe Nintendo (and other industry leaders) are going to find out that their old games are the going to be the competition to their new games. If it's too expensive and the old games are fun....there's enough of a backlog for people to play.

That and indies.

For a little while I bought coffee and strawberries with Bitcoin back more than 9ish years ago. It was pretty cool easy with the first apps.

Worked well.

I got some works my a couple of contracts. So not so much Fiat was needed. Only later.

When the housing crisis occured I remember having to find a job in that market. It took me close to 5 years to "recover". It sets you back when almost everyone you know can't get a job.

This time around there's real talk from industry leaders to just have AI do intelligent work. It does not really matter if they can if the elites just want to burn their money and not pay anyone. The money gets siphoned up not spread around this way. At least it feels like it.

Because of the last couple of world changing events, the family has been getting pretty good at canning, food saving, water saving, and knowing our community. It helped out last two times things went to shit.

Yep all the time. Other platforms allow you to subscribe as well.

Piefed you can subscribe to individuals like they are communities. Works really well.

This is arguably bigger news than the stock market.

Piefed has a feature where there are collection of communities, so you dont have to chose if you dont want to. Its very nice: https://piefed.social/topic/tech

Im trying but nothing is resolving. The videos are not working and the website is timing out. Maybe you can talk to the admin? Might also be a blip in my connection/piefed?

Talks about fediverse and has links to different services. Has some hot takes.

You can say suicide on the fediverse unlike other platforms.

It's terrible what ss is doing.

Yeah if someone needs to reach me via mastodon/lemmy/etc....they can take their time to use other platforms. DMs without any spam detection is a recipe for disaster. As is the case for any messaging in the last 30 years.

I think the biggest issue is most people dont know what they are using to begin with. If you ask them, they will say they are not using Linux. While on an Android phone, with a router that may have linux (or at least some sort of nix), with servers that are likely Linux.

They only see the base platform (like mastodon). They wont know what the fediverse is, but they are "using" it. Ive seen the phenomenon with some of the newer people to mastodon, pixelfed, etc...

But yeah we are NOT salespeople lol. The good ones can make money selling just about anything. We are an active money sink (but thats ok).

I found out via a matrix channel lol. Its almost never used except by some close friends so its nice we have a backup.

Discord has been up/down and kinda spotty today:

Looks like its back up-ish?
