Great book!
I just received and started Sleeping Beauties by David Byrne. Not too far into it, but it looks intriguing.
The Shock Doctrine by Nami Klein - An interesting read so far. Some detail on history that I vaguely remember or heard about as a child. While it's good, it's more on the pile of how screwed we are socially, politically, and economically so some days I avoid it if it's too heavy.
On Food and Cooking - Harold McGee - Pretty much the bible of cooking. It's been a long slow read for me over the last 18 months when I'm not sure what else I want to read.
Searches: Selfhood in the Digital Age - Vauhini Vara - A reflection on the impact of tech on modern life.
If a Canadian is still choosing to vacation in the US, especially long-term, I'm not sure they fall under what I would call 'decent'.
Ukraine's actions have little to do with what that egomaniacal psychopath is going to do. He'll do whatever gets him more money or gains him favour in the billionaire club. What you see him state publicly is simple theatre.
Who gives a fuck about Elon's opinion? Stop giving that asshole attention.
The rest of that site is very cool. Great data visualizations.
I'm calling bullshit. I live here. We have plenty of vegetables, salads, and vegetarian food around the province. Even in our smaller shithole, redneck, hellhole towns. There's more than enough to criticize about this province without making shit up.
Good riddance. One less grifter grifting.
Utzp - Angine de Poitrine
Prophet Song by Paul Lynch would make an excellent movie. Maybe a bit too on the nose for these times. His novel Grace could also be amazing as a film or limited series.
Add me to the pile. Still play for 20-40 minutes, 3-5 times per week, but can't just sit down and write anything new. Maybe soon...
