Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

Rules
  1. πŸ˜‡ Be Nice!

    • Treat others with respect and dignity. Friendly banter is okay, as long as it is mutual; keyword: friendly.
  2. 🏘️ Community Standards

    • Comics should be a full story, from start to finish, in one post.
    • Posts should be safe and enjoyable by the majority of community members, both here on lemmy.world and other instances.
    • Any comic that would qualify as raunchy, lewd, or otherwise draw unwanted attention by nosy coworkers, spouses, or family members should be tagged as NSFW.
    • Moderators have final say on what and what does not qualify as appropriate. Use common sense, and if need be, err on the side of caution.
  3. 🧬 Keep it Real

    • Comics should be made and posted by real human beans, not by automated means like bots or AI. This is not the community for that sort of thing.
  4. πŸ“½οΈ Credit Where Credit is Due

    • Comics should include the original attribution to the artist(s) involved, and be unmodified. Bonus points if you include a link back to their website. When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
    • Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!
  5. πŸ“‹ Post Formatting

    • Post an image, gallery, or link to a specific comic hosted on another site; e.g., the author's website.
    • Meta posts about the community should be tagged with [Meta] either at the beginning or the end of the post title.
    • When linking to a comic hosted on another site, ensure the link is to the comic itself and not just to the website; e.g.,
      βœ… Correct: https://xkcd.com/386/
      ❌ Incorrect: https://xkcd.com/
  6. πŸ“¬ Post Frequency/SPAM

    • Each user (regardless of instance) may post up to five (5 πŸ–) comics a day. This can be any combination of personal comics you have written yourself, or other author's comics. Any comics exceeding five (5 πŸ–) will be removed.
  7. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ Internationalization (i18n)

    • Non-English posts are welcome. Please tag the post title with the original language, and include an English translation in the body of the post; e.g.,
      SΓ, por favor [Spanish/EspaΓ±ol]
  8. 🍿 Moderation

    • We are human, just like most everybody else on Lemmy. If you feel a moderation decision was made in error, you are welcome to reach out to anybody on the moderation team for clarification. Keep in mind that moderation decisions may be final.
    • When reporting posts and/or comments, quote which rule is being broken, and why you feel it broke the rules.
Banned Artists

The following artists are banned from the community.

  1. Jago
  2. Stonetoss

It should be noted that when you make reports, it is your responsibility to provide rational reasoning why something should be removed. Saying it simply breaks community rules is not always good enough.

Web Accessibility

Note: This is not a rule, but a helpful suggestion.

When posting images, you should strive to add alt-text for screen readers to use to describe the image you're posting:

Another helpful thing to do is to provide a transcription of the text in your images, as well as brief descriptions of what's going on. (example)

And people complain that Pizzacake is too bland, vanilla, and uncontroversial.

woman under scrutiny by default, what is this, the internet?

Most of her stuff I've seen has been like that. Very Reddit, "does anyone else" style stuff. But I only see what pops up, her other stuff might be totally different.

Not the porn though, that was bland, vanilla but maybe not uncontroversial

Honestly, I didn't think she had it in her.

[–] MBM@lemmings.world 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

She does comics like this all the time

[–] WillFord27@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (5 children)

How do you have a staggering 0% upvoted..? Did you remove your own god-given upvote?

... Honestly, I respect it.

[–] Muehe@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Some Fediverse frontends don't set the self-upvote by default (kbin for example), but since lemmings.world is a Lemmy instance it was probably removed by the author (maybe accidentally double-click on posting?).

Didn't she do an onlyfans?

[–] Cypher@aussie.zone 26 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (2 children)

Yes but it was bland, vanilla and uncontroversial

Edit: I should mention I didn't pay to see any of it, I saw her promoting it so free titty pics were appreciated I guess

[–] naticus@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Which is especially funny since for some pearl clutching prudes, her having an OF at all, regardless of content, was controversial. I wouldn't sub, but that's also completely her call if she wants to be out there like that.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

so free titty pics were appreciated I guess

Are they ever not?

[–] Slovene@feddit.nl 7 points 2 months ago

Not when I send my moobs they aren't. 😭

[–] TheObviousSolution@lemmy.ca 84 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

The casualties of anthropomorphism keep adding up.

[–] Zozano@aussie.zone 66 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I know him, he goes to my school.

[–] dalekcaan@feddit.nl 43 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I like that 200% sexier implies that this character is exactly 3x as sexy as a regular cat

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 months ago

It's also possible that the mascot wasn't originally a regular cat, but an already pretty sexy cat.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 8 points 2 months ago

It isn’t?

[–] Zwiebel@feddit.org 32 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 months ago

I'm certainly intrigued

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 30 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

You like kissing catboys, don't you?

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 30 points 2 months ago

"See, this attitude is why your company will never be all it can be, no matter how expensive a suit you put on."

[–] mech@feddit.org 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That cat is missing most of its nippels.

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How could a wolf possibly fall in love with a cat?!

[–] wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

It's purrfectly understandable

(I'm also part tiger and a dash of fox but shh)

You can't tell me that the person who chose "Temptations" as a brand name for cat treats wasn't at least a little bit into Furry stuff.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 15 points 2 months ago (2 children)

That guy is a dog person. He has a fursuit at home.

I'm sorry, only 200%? You mean to say the original (plain old) cat was already 1/3 of the way to however sexy this one is?

Given the number of people I have seen making allusions to themselves sleeping in the kennels they keep in their rooms...

This is just an out of touch marketing exec.

Yep.

Its cat food.

For cats.

Yep.

Mhm.

Yep thats our market demo, mhm.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 8 points 2 months ago

And you know why they don’t work there?

Because you don’t have sexy cats to begin with that’s why!

[–] Una 7 points 2 months ago
[–] Sirius006@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago

Is this epic furry?

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 months ago

Especially like the freelancer "oh i don't work here".

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 6 points 2 months ago

Using the Kramer approach I see

Words I have to resist typing every time I'm called-upon to defend a one-off comment I'm un-pleasently-surprised I can remember making, but all-too-often, not the why.

I really should charge more for attempting to channel me-from-twelve-hours-ago. Oh, and polishing that ass-hole's non-sense into something I'll be even more confused-about tomorrow. I want to say "Stop asking me to iterate, it only gets worse", but then I see the gibberish posing as a counter-point and realize, yes, we can make eachother worse.
