🇸🇦🇺🇸❌😌🇾🇪一 Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made two calls to Trump on Thursday, urging him to launch US strikes against Ansar Allah in Yemen as they advance towards the Bab al-Mandab Strait; however, Trump refused, while Washington will provide Riyadh with intelligence and data to identify targets, according to Axios

The US navy already lost against Ansarallah once. I also wonder if there is some shared understanding between US/Iran that if neither directly intervenes in the Yemeni/Saudi affairs the other wont either (still rumors of both sides aiding with intelligence etc of course). Especially since the US is already taking a beating with regards to munitions and such, I don't think they'd wan't to invite an escalation like this, in spite of the posturing.

🇵🇸🇱🇧 BRICS has issued some of its strongest collective language yet on Palestine and Lebanon in the new New Delhi Declaration.

On Palestine, BRICS explicitly rejects the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and warns against any political or security arrangement that could prejudice their “inalienable rights” or “legitimize or prolong occupation” (Board of Peace).

The bloc reaffirms the Palestinian right to self-determination and the right of return, supports Palestine becoming a full member of the United Nations, and calls for an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, encompassing Gaza and the West Bank, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

BRICS also rejects “any attempt at temporary or permanent forced displacement” of Palestinians and any effort to alter Gaza’s territory or demographic composition.

Perhaps most significantly, the declaration states plainly:

“We reiterate that international law and international judicial bodies demand the end of the illegal occupation.”

The declaration condemns starvation as a method of warfare, attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, and restrictions on humanitarian assistance. It reiterates support for UNRWA and references the proceedings before the International Court of Justice concerning Israel’s obligations under the Genocide Convention.

On Lebanon, the language is equally direct.

BRICS condemns continued violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and ceasefire arrangements and explicitly calls Israeli troops remaining on Lebanese territory “occupying forces.”

“We call on Israel to respect the terms agreed with the Lebanese government and to withdraw its occupying forces from all of the Lebanese territories, in which they remain.”

BRICS also reiterates its support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, backs UNIFIL and condemns attacks against UN peacekeepers and their facilities.

This is significant because it isn’t simply a statement from Russia, Iran, China or another individual member.

This is consensus language adopted by BRICS as a bloc in New Delhi rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians, demanding an end to the “illegal occupation,” reaffirming Palestinian statehood with East Jerusalem as its capital, and explicitly demanding that Israel withdraw its “occupying forces” from Lebanon.

Frankly speaking, strong words don't really rouse much from me, especially considering only Iran seems to be willing to ift a finger actually aiding the Palestinian cause directly.

🇮🇷❌️🇺🇸 Urgent warning from Iran's Navy in response to the attack on Iranian tankers by terrorist CENTCOM.

    The Sepah (IRGC) Navy:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and thanks be to God, the Almighty and Merciful...

Urgent warning: In view of the crimes committed by the terrorist US army by targeting several oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran, we warn all tanker crews in the ports of Kuwait and Bahrain, which serve as bases for these terrorists and are complicit in their crimes, to immediately leave their ships.

They must quickly depart from the docks or ports, as they will be targeted. Victory belongs only to God, the Forgiving and the Wise."

🇶🇦 Majed al-Nasari, Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson, says the US military presence in the region is "not enough" anymore.

He says instead of calling for the US to reinforce its position, Qatar advocates self-sufficiency, diversification in the security realm and for the Persian Gulf Arab states to be responsible for their own defence.

**Iran's been saying this for 47 years, BTW.

🇾🇪❌️🇸🇦 The most significant spoils captured by Yemeni forces on the West Coast include advanced surveillance systems and naval radars.

Among these systems is the French Thales CoastWatcher 100, capable of monitoring and analyzing vessel movements at ranges exceeding 150 nautical miles.

Other captured equipment includes Hensoldt Spexer/SharpEye radars -capable of detecting small maritime targets- the Israeli ELM-2226 ACSR coastal radar, as well as submerged sensors and long-range thermal cameras.

🇾🇪❌️🇸🇦 Ansarullah government forces succeed in liberating the southwestern part of the Taiz region.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Pravin Sawhney: Iran just demonstrated why the U.S. naval blockade may be in trouble

Iran may have just changed the military equation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Pravin Sawhney argues Tehran’s recent anti-ship ballistic missile launch wasn't intended to hit an American warship, but to show that it could.

According to Sawhney, the missile used a depressed trajectory, dramatically reducing the time available for Aegis-equipped U.S. destroyers to detect, track and intercept a weapon approaching at roughly Mach 10.

That matters because the destroyers are the shield around the carrier.

Sawhney says a warhead of roughly a tonne arriving at that speed could potentially punch through a destroyer’s deck.

Iran deliberately missed, he argues, because the point wasn't to kill hundreds of sailors.

It was to demonstrate that the ships enforcing the blockade are vulnerable.

And Tehran is now pairing that military warning with a political one, announcing plans for a restricted shipping zone extending from the U.S. blockade line through Hormuz.

    Sawhney’s conclusion is unusually simple:

“The American naval blockade is in trouble.”

Washington wants to prove it controls the Strait.

Iran is trying to prove that anyone enforcing that control has to sit within missile range.

🇾🇪⚡🇸🇦 Rapid Advances by the Yemeni Army on the Taiz and Hodeidah Fronts; Al-Mokha Port Liberated!

ExpandThe Yemeni Armed Forces through a series of rapid operations, have achieved significant advances in the Taiz and Hodeidah provinces within just a few hours, covering an area of approximately 2,600 square kilometers, and have liberated numerous areas, including the strategically important port of Al-Mokha.

On the Taiz front, the Yemeni Armed Forces have made rapid progress in the districts of Al-Wazi'iyah and Mozah in western Taiz province. During these rapid advances, with the support of popular committees, the Yemeni Armed Forces have cleared the Al-Wazi'iyah and Al-Mokha, the important Khaled bin Walid base, and areas in the Al-Wazi'iyah district, including Al-Hania, Al-Aqma, and Al-Gheil, extending to the outskirts of Al-Shaqira, the center of the Al-Wazi'iyah district.

In southern Hodeidah province, the Yemeni Armed Forces have taken control of the important towns of Hays and then Al-Khukhah, and by continuing their advance along the coastal strip and liberating Yahtal, they entered and took control of the strategically important port of Al-Mokha.

The advances of this morning are reminiscent of the rapid advances made five years ago in the Hodeidah province, when, in November 2021, the Saudi-led coalition forces were forced to withdraw from the entire coastal strip, from within the city of Hodeidah to north of Al-Khukhah in southern Hodeidah province.

The intense pressure exerted by the Yemeni fighters on all fronts in western Taiz province and southern Hodeidah continues, and the forces of Tariq Saleh are reportedly fleeing the fronts towards Aden.

Overall, with the advances made over the past three days, the conditions have been created for the complete liberation of the southwestern coast of Yemen, and also for the strategic Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. A major victory for the resistance axis will soon be achieved. The air and ground dominance of the Yemeni Armed Forces over the western coast of Yemen prevents the expansion of threats from the Saudi-led coalition to maritime traffic and creates the conditions for breaking the naval siege of Yemen.

❗️Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman General Hossein Mohebbi warns 'if the enemy strikes at 2 of our targets, we will strike at 20':

"The imposed war, which involved the world's most powerful nations, has ended in certain periods, but the nature of the conflict continues.

For the first time, this conflict has directly inflicted strategic damage on the United States, impacting the country's security and economic equations.

If the enemy desires an end to this situation, they must completely cease the war, refrain from further threats, withdraw the Israeli army from Lebanon, end the siege of Yemen, release the $24 billion of Iranian assets that have been frozen, and cease any interference in the country's nuclear and missile programs.

We have reached a point where if the enemy strikes at 2 or 3 of our targets, we will respond forcefully by striking at 20."

    — 🇮🇷/🇾🇪/🇸🇦 NEW: Ansarallah’s rapid advance along Yemen’s western coast was planned by IRGC Quds force officers and carried out at Iran’s advice, according to Reuters

Iran provided intelligence, equipment, and direct guidance for the Houthis, urging them to seize the key port of Mocha and promising additional funding and arms.

    @Middle_East_Spectator

    https://t.me/Middle_East_Spectator/36608

Issue With ReportingI think this is sloppy reporting by MES. Why take Reuters word for it? What evidence did they provide that the IRGC was heavily involved in this operation? I've seen little to support this myself, and if anything, it seems perfectly logical to assume this operation was undertaken almost entirely by Ansarallah.

The Reuters report to me seems like a way to try and discredit and underplay how effective Ansarallah is as a force, attributing their success to a local regional power rather than on recognizing Ansarallah's own competence. Yes, Iran has aided Ansarallah immensely, but they are very clearly a formidable force and the legitimate Yemeni government after all these years.

❗️UAE stocks rise as oil surge fuels gains amid West Asia supply fears

ExpandUAE stock markets ended higher on Friday, with Dubai leading the region, as a steep weekly increase in oil prices provided support amid growing concerns that attacks on major West Asian shipping routes could lead to prolonged supply disruptions.

Dubai’s main index rose 0.6% after two consecutive sessions of losses, led by a 4.2% jump in top lender Emirates NBD Bank, while utility company Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation gained 1.9%.

National Central Cooling fell 2.1% after announcing Yousif al-Hammadi as its new chief executive.

Abu Dhabi’s benchmark index edged up 0.03%, extending gains for a fourth consecutive session. The index was supported by a 3.6% rise in IHC-owned investment firm Two Point Zero Group.

State-owned energy shipping company Adnoc Logistics & Services advanced 2.9%, while energy infrastructure developer NMDC Group gained 3.5%.

The gains were capped by a 5% decline in chemical producer Fertiglobe and a 1.5% drop in the emirate’s largest lender, First Abu Dhabi Bank.

For the week, Abu Dhabi’s index gained 1.4%, while Dubai’s index rose 1%, according to LSEG data.

🇮🇷🇺🇸| The IRGG says it targeted US combat destroyers DDG-119 and DDG-53, which carry cruise missiles and Aegis systems, with ballistic missiles.

    — 🇸🇦/🇾🇪 The current situation in Yemen, Bab Al-Mandab front

The map is a bit conservative, showing Mayun Island and Murad still under PLC control, which I believe is accurate as of now (due to lack of evidence for the contrary).

That’ll likely change in the morning.

🇰🇷🇺🇸🇮🇷 “We cannot send our young people into a sea of death!”

Protests have erupted in Seoul against South Korea potentially joining U.S.-led operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

Demonstrators marched past the U.S. Embassy chanting, “We cannot send our young people into a sea of death!” and carrying signs opposing participation in what they called a “war of aggression.”

Seoul has dispatched a fact-finding team to the UAE to assess conditions in Hormuz amid mounting U.S. pressure, but the government stresses that no decision on military deployment has yet been made.

🇮🇷🇮🇱🇺🇸| ❗️One of Pahlavi’s own minions and former football player Ali Karimi (un)willingly exposed how Pahlavi-aligned circles fund coordinated cyber networks (he’s trying to rant)

He says Pahlavi figures use received funds not for civic education or genuine opposition activity, but to create and rent hundreds of social-media accounts, channels and high-reach pages.

According to Karimi, these pages are centrally directed: keywords, hashtags and targets for attacks are assigned at specific times, creating artificial waves of either outrage or praise online.

He says that when ordinary users suddenly see hundreds of similar posts and thousands of matching comments, they may believe a genuine “public demand” has emerged, while instead it’s just algorithmic spamming and media money-splashing.

Karimi also says these networks deploy rented cyber armies against independent opposition figures, branding anyone outside their circle of interests as a “traitor,” “regime agent,” or “project” in an attempt to destroy their public credibility.

He says some advisers who were once radical opponents of Pahlavi now operate in Pahlavi’s name while targeting other activists and members of the opposition.
