Seriously? The product is caramel coated popcorn, you'd think they might give it a more appropriate name, such as..

Caramel Jills

Edit: For people that aren't aware, this is their rebranding of Cracker Jacks, to try to be inclusive or some shit. I think they did a terrible rebranding of this, for reasons already stated. :(

Sad to see a poster turn out to be an racist weirdo.

My guy you're obsessed with race. You see a black kid and think "she shouldn't be here, or they should make it about race"

To pre-empt the inevitable THEN I CAN SAY NI-" cracker here is not being use to refer to race. It never was. If it was, that's racist, it was not. You're just racist.

If a Spanish package used the word negro for a black coffee flavoured items that's not racist. Its not about race. Its about the the taste. You wouldn't care about that bud. But a black person on a package? FUCK STOP EVERERYTHING I GET TO SAY THE N WORD NOW! IT'S MY ONLY JOY

They aren't trying to be inclusive they're trying to sell sugar to children. They likely have a lower rate of girls buying it. People who like it won't stop buying unless they're like you. New people will. That's all. It's money. Also, there's you, and your free publicity. Anti-woke weirdos make good advertisments. You freak out about the green mnm no-longer wearing heals and the mars company sees a revenue spike

See you later culture warrior

Edit: OP legit did the "what if I say the n-word" thing

Popcorn is not a cracker in the first place, but the snack is indeed covered in caramel.

Is it that hard to connect the dots? Hell, Caramel Jills even sounds nicer and prettier, at least to me.

Looks like its a special edition to to promote women's sports, not super obvious by the packaging but also not like a rebranding

Cracker doesn't refer to the skin color of Jack, but to the crackling of the caramel shell on the popcorn.

Meanwhile, everyone else understands that Cracker is a racist insult towards white people, along with Honkey.

God forbid anyone even quotes the N word though..

Cracker is a particular type of white person and I haven't heard anyone seriously say the word honky for decades. You're overreacting.

Is it racist? It's a reference of slave masters cracking the whip. Not white people having the same color as a saltine cracker.

Is it racist to call a white man a cracker or a honkey?

Is it racist to call me a red man? Ya know, Native American?...

Hey dumdum, knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. Try using your brain why black people have it a little worse.

Are you trolling? You seem angry it isn't acceptable in society to say the N word? You want to say it?

I want to take the time to explain the reason everyone is calling you racist. You are insisting a product change its name BECAUSE of the color of someone's skin. You chose caramel because it is more appropriate for her skin color by your reasoning and doesn't use the products name, which you find offensive.

The popcorn obviously isn't referring to race in any way, but you made it about that and came up with a pretty racist solution.

Next time get the gum at cvs and not some popcorn. If you don't like a product, don't give them your money. Easypeasy. No need to get worked up.

Cracker is to white as N***** is to black.

Please explain the difference, and why I shouldn't be equally upset...

If you’re comparing the badness of two words, and you won’t even say one of them? That’s the worse word

True, I can compare many words. Which word would you like me to say?

'Cracker Jacks' heavily refers to baseball, the crack of the bat...

Then put into context how old the company is...

Their old mindset was basically 'white people play baseball, black people play basketball'

Cracker Jacks was founded in the late 1800s, around 1896.

One term came from this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_the_United_States https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/removed

The other was made by white people to describe other white people btw. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cracker_(term)

Get over yourself. Read a book.

I don’t think this is anyone’s attempt at being “inclusive”.

“Amusing comeuppance” is the phrase that first jumps to mind. “Postmodern art“ is another. I would also love to have a package of this.

And of course the Jill is black, otherwise it'd be problematic for calling a white girl "cracker".

    That's the point, yes.

Their marketing department might have done better by calling their new dark skinned young lady "Caramel Jill"...

No, you don't get it. I was forced by a Flock camera to go into and make a purchase in a CVS, otherwise they were gonna tow our vehicle away.

So I had no choice but to go in and purchase something, to keep the vehicle from getting towed.

It wasn't my vehicle by the way, I was 'vehicle sitting' so to speak.

I never called anyone any sort of slur, but seriously, FUCK FLOCK CAMERAS!!
