I believe it is canon that at least one of the Chief Engineers was Welsh. I think it was in the season of Discovery where they introduced Pike. We only ever heard her voice (briefly) over the comms. Memory is hazy over which ship she was engineer to. Had the impression it was Enterprise.
I read something, I forget where, about rowan berries having a toxin that's bad for the kidneys. It may have meant just the raw ones. Would have to look it up in a decent foraging book though. The amount of "A.I." generated misinformation that's about now is horrendous.

On a much smaller scale you can see how quickly pollenators bounce back in your own garden if you let even a small area grow wild. Good for the whole garden.
