That's just sheer insanity. No one - no one thinks what they're doing is helping anything.

Saying trump lied is like saying there was a Tuesday last week.

For anyone who's unaware, gmail is scanning your messages to sell you things and train its AI. Not that that matters to most gmail users. That they would lie about EE2E is par for the course.

What's the point? CBS has made a mint off of promoting trump. 60 minutes has had a decade to expose his russian ties, his mob ties, his frauds, his rapes.

In retrospect, I would have liked to have seen that. Since the Teamsters president spoke at the RNC and called the demented rapist a "tough son of a removed".

Not that it wasn't a humiliating spectacle all by itself.

Depending on how you want to frame it - the wiki article says 1917.

After the disbandment of the U.S. Armycryptographic section of military intelligence known as MI-8, the U.S. government created the Cipher Bureau, also known as Black Chamber, in 1919. The Black Chamber was the United States' first peacetime cryptanalyticorganization.[25] Jointly funded by the Army and the State Department, the Cipher Bureau was disguised as a New York City commercial codecompany; it produced and sold such codes for business use. Its true mission, however, was to break the communications (chiefly diplomatic) of other nations. At the Washington Naval Conference, it aided American negotiators by providing them with the decrypted traffic of many of the conference delegations, including the Japanese. The Black Chamber successfully persuaded Western Union, the largest U.S. telegram company at the time, as well as several other communications companies, to illegally give the Black Chamber access to cable traffic of foreign embassies and consulates.[26] Soon, these companies publicly discontinued their collaboration. Despite the Chamber's initial successes, it was shut down in 1929 by U.S. Secretary of State Henry L. Stimson, who defended his decision by stating, "Gentlemen do not read each other's mail."[27]

An 8-year-old girl in Texas died Thursday morning of “measles pulmonary failure,” according to The New York Times, citing records it obtained.

A Trump administration official told the paper the girl’s cause of death is “still being looked at.”

Narrator: It wasn’t still being looked at

Okay, GTFO. Did he ever even say Thank You?!

Well that's just the normal functioning of a very cool and very legal government.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The fewer seats republicans have in the US house, the harder it is to get their stuff through. Moreover, if these seats flip or show a strong overperformance, Republicans will be way more weary about going along with Trump

The leader of a small group of self-described satanists and three other people were arrested Friday following a scuffle inside the Kansas Statehouse arising from an effort by the group’s leader to start a Black Mass in the rotunda.

About 30 members of the Kansas City-area Satanic Grotto, led by its president, Michael Stewart, rallied outside the Statehouse for the separation of church and state. The group also protested what members called the state’s favoritism toward Christians in allowing events inside. Gov. Laura Kelly temporarily banned protests inside, just for Friday, weeks after Stewart’s group scheduled its indoor ceremony.

The Satanic Grotto’s rally outside drew hundreds of Christian counterprotesters because of the Grotto’s satanic imagery, and its indoor ceremony included denouncing Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. About 100 Christians stood against yellow police tape marking the Satanic Grotto’s area. The two groups yelled at each other while the Christians also sang and called on Grotto members to accept Jesus. Several hundred more Christians rallied on the other side of the Grotto’s area, but further away.

Kelly issued her order earlier this month after Roman Catholic groups pushed her to ban any Satanic Grotto event. The state’s Catholic Bishops called what the group planned “a despicable act of anti-Catholic bigotry” mocking the Catholic Mass. Both chambers of the Legislature also approved resolutions condemning it.

...

Satanic Grotto members, who number several dozen, said they hold a variety of beliefs. Some are atheists, some use the group to protest harm they suffered as church members, and others see Satan as a symbol of independence.

...

Video shot by KSNT-TV showed that when Stewart tried to conduct his group’s ceremony in the first-floor rotunda, a young man tried to snatch Stewart’s script from his hands, and Stewart punched him. Several Kansas Highway Patrol troopers wrestled Stewart to the ground and handcuffed him. They led him through hallways on the ground floor below and into a room as he yelled, “Hail, Satan!”
