The window's open and I can hear the birds singing outside. Yes, I recommend it.

The song of tinnitus. It sounds like the high pitched squeal of a failing power supply.
All I can hear is the fan on my computer blowing. I don't recommend it.
HOME - We're Finally Landing I'd say definitely give it a listen if you like synths.
Feels like somebody just set a speedrun world record.
My kids are making me play K.K. Slider tracks from Wii's Animal Crossing City Folk in Brewster's Cafe (I am time traveling to Saturday). Cafe K.K. just played.
Do I recommend it? Yeah, cool cat.
Hell yeah.
But I dislike the records. I am instead listening to the hourly background tracks.
im rawdogging the ambient sounds of public transport
Every so often, I'll listen to this song, because it's just piano + ambient sounds of public transport, and that takes me back to when I used to regularly take the train.
“Taxi to Baltimore Dub” by Scientist. It has an interesting genealogy: Randy Newman’s song “Baltimore” was done as a reggae cover by Nina Simone, then covered again by an actual reggae band called The Tamlins, which then got remixed/dubbed by Scientist. If you listen to Newman’s and then Scientist’s, they’re effectively unrecognizable in relation other than lyrical snippets. I absolutely recommend it.
Melissa, Mercyful Fate. Yes.
ADDERALL by maezi666 . It’s good but you have to like the nightcore adjacent music.
Mine is Divide and Conquer by Epica, and I would defs recommend it. It's not their best song I think, but it's still good and it's off my favorite album of theirs.
The Dillinger Escape Plan : One of Us Is the Killer
Yes... if you're into harsh music.
I Spy - Dead Kennedys. Yeah it's a good tune
My friends talk... And only if you like magic the gathering.
Gary numan, Savage. So good . before that, NIN, Fragile
"Prisoner's Awakening," from the Dead Cells soundtrack, which frequently comes up on my workday playlist. Definitely recommended, that game has an amazing soundtrack. Instrumental, varying from orchestra and acoustic guitar to sometimes electric guitar and synth (or, synth-like?) tracks.
The magpies outside my window having a lengthy conversation.
As The World Begins To Wane - Absent Moon - Chuck Salamone
Its like ballad or opera rock or something and it tells the story of what happens to the characters of Hylics after Hylics 2. I'd only recommend it if you played the Hylics series.
i don't want to be with you - i hate myself and i want to die.
Awesome band if you like that mid 2000s emo skate punk sound
You've piqued my interest, I gotta check this one out
My phone's detection app says Close to You by Dayglow. I'm on a plane waiting to takeoff. The song is fine, I guess.
Memphis LK - Some Kinda Heaven. Pretty solid song if you like the Y2K Electronic/Hopecore type of sound. Fun fact: she is actually the daughter of Paul Kelly, who made legendary songs such as Dumb Things and To Her Door.
I was listening to... Boston, Longtime / Foreplay. Quite the hard rock canon I suppose. Not my era or genre, but a great song. Going down the rabbit hole with this old band.
Sleep Token - Gethsemane
Sleep Token - Infinite Baths
Read this right at the end of Gethsemane, so I have two. I recommend both, especially Infinite Baths; and the rest of the album at that.
Would only recommend if you're in a bad place in your life... otherwise, it will just depress you.
Far Horizons - Skyrim Soundtrack. And yes, it's simultaneously chill and makes me want to go stand on top of a mountain and gaze into the distance moodily.
I have a collection of video game soundtracks that I keep running at a quiet volume pretty much 24-7 for my cats because they have separation anxiety and I'm gone a lot. Skyrim, Oblivion, all 3 Witcher games, Stardew Valley, Terraria, Baldurs Gate 3, a couple of the Assassins Creed games, and a couple others are in there. Currently I have over 1000 songs in my main playlist that I run, but I have way more soundtracks that I don't have in that playlist.
Barry Mann - Who put the bomp? because somebody referenced it in the !tenforward@lemmy.world thread about James R. Kirk's middle name.
Kinda fun as far as '50s pop goes, I guess.
Edit: Now I'm about to go listen to "video killed the radio star" because I double-checked the tenforward link was correct and found a thread referencing that in there too. Why is it unusually musical tonight?
Edit 2: it is now the next morning, and "Who Put The Bomp?" remains stuck in my head. Send help.
Not The Same Anymore - The Strokes
It's OK, but my personal favorite from the same album (The New Abnormal) is Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus.
Safari - James Holden remix. If you like electronic music, yes I would recommend it.
If we're counting what's stuck in my head, it's the live album version of In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins.
HIGHLY recommend either it or the studio version
What I hear right now:
Tuomas Holopainen - The Life and Times of Scrooge
(Genre: Celtic, Heavy Metal (don't agree with claim lol), Symphonic Rock, Rock)
Various - 攻殼機動隊 MEGATECH BODY.Cd.,LTD (Genre: Electro, Tech House, Techno)
Various other songs for which I am to lazy to list.
Usually EDM or J-pop/rock.
Some Artists:
(label) Monstercat Uncaged/Silk
Akatsuki Records
Starset
DECO*27
shiey
Edit:
Forgot to mention, I mention, I really like the releases of "Eye" -> https://open.spotify.com/artist/3zqz8Khnygbv4LJia0v0iY (if you dislike spotify, the artist is also on YT)
Specifically "Majestic Sadistic" and "Domestic Drastic"
Rain, Rain, Beautiful Rain - Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Do recommend. Maybe not my top pick from them, but pretty good.
Currently I'm listening to Tom Waits' 1983 album Swordfishtrombones. The specific song playing is Frank's Wild Years although it switched to the title track while I was writing this comment.
Waits for sure has some great songs, but he's an excellent album artist and I would recommend Swordfishtrombones. It's one of his best albums and I would whole heartedly recommend it. Mule Variations, Bone Machine, and Rain Dogs are also fantastic albums. Fair warning though, Tom Waits is very polarizing, you either love him or absolutely hate him.
Pelagic by Covet
Absolutely recommend, very chill instrumental math rock.
Rain out the window, 100% recommend
My daughter and I have been listening to Jesse Welles' (Under the Power Lines versions) of Autumn and Anything But Me quite a lot. Certain is also fire, but a little too political for my 6-year-old to grasp.
One Headlight by the Wallflowers. Absolutely yes - it's one of my favorite 90s songs.
