As a born and raised New Mexican, fuck this absolute piece of garbage, and fuck anyone who has voted or is continuing to vote for the convicted rapist and pedophile party. New Mexico is a culturally rich and diverse state, full of traditions going back hundreds, in some cases thousands, of years.

Comically, New Mexico acquired its name long before "New Spain" became Mexico. Apparently New Mexico predates Mexico. (By a decent while too).

Edit ended up reading the article, it is listed in the article further down as well "New Mexico’s name predates the founding of the United States back to the 16th century"

    ...

New Mexico predates the modern country of Mexico, yes.

But when Spanish Conquistadors first reached the Valle de Mexico, in the 1520s, it was the most densely populated urban area on the planet at over a million people.

That's why New Mexico includes "new", because it wasn't the original.

There are no adults coming to save us. It won't even be that surprising if this ends up happening. Certainly not becausw it makes a shred of sense, just because this timeline is satire.

Calling it already, all Spanish names of towns and states will be forcefully translated to English. Prepare for Snowy, Tiles, Flowery, Aridzone and Caliphornia to be really peeved about this

Trump is a freak. People who like him are weirdos. Enough said.

I cannot wait until this fucker is gone. The arrowhead of American failure was carved by people like Donald Trump.

Remember when we dismissed one of, if not the most, progressive president in our lifetime because he was old and "senile"?

And traded him out for whatever the rapist fuck this is.

The ignorance in America is too vast to describe without sounding like hyperbole.

Said something about Trump's dementia to a good friend last week, "Yeah, but Biden was pretty bad too wasn't he?"

There are exactly two people on my street that understand current events, both old black folks. My young black friend (above) and the white people of all ages are clueless. My Asian wife only knows about Trump through me and her friends and family back home who now hate him over gas prices. (See chart)

There's a monster chunk of our population that votes on vibes and how their personal life is going. Trump's 30% approval? That's not MAGA, that's the politically disconnected.
