That's not very typical, I'd like to make that point

Some trucks are built so the front doesn't fall off at all

Clarke and Dawe!

Are you sure? It is a cyber truck we're talking about.

How badly built is this thing that it breaks in half from a crash? How did it even become street legal?

Because automakers do their own testing but I don't think the CT actually did any testing.

Remember when Elon hit the new bullet proof Cyber truck windows and they didn't shatter? They should have made the whole truck out of that glass to make it more resistant to breaking.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

No. I don’t remember that. I remember him claiming the window wouldn’t shatter, him hitting the window, and the window shattering.

The guy in uniform said the G wagon was doing 60, I assume that's MPH.

That's a huge impact force, and would rip the ass off quite a few vehicles.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You're right! That is a powerful impact, but never in life have a seen a vehicle split neatly in two.

I've seen shit on the side of the road I was sure no one walked away from. I've seen bodies hanging upside down in the seat belts on the Houston interstate. LOL, never seen a car straight up pop in half.
