I've literally never had an issue not separating laundry. Years of mixed loads never any colours bled, I thought the whole thing was a myth.

Last week I washed a red dress of my wife's with whites, and all my shirts came out pink like a sitcom. It's real people.

Was that red dress washed before? I always wash new clothes before the first wear, then just separate lights and darks in general. (Disclaimer: I own literally zero white clothes, so even the light ones are already pastel colours.)

I ordered a cake for my birthday that said Happy 29th. I'm 40, they didn't even check my ID or anything.

That must have been some very al dente rice. When cooked in a pan brown rice needs more than twice the cooking time than white.

It's probably not as good as it possibly could be, but in a automatic rice cooker the timing isn't manually set, it just cooks until all the water is absorbed / boiled off. So, cooking brown rice on the white rice setting would still take way longer and probably be fine.

Fine? Sure. But the proper setting, especially on a higher end rice cooker, will result in better rice.

I had to put all my stuff in storage then move across the country recently. I did not bring my cuckoo rice cooker with me, and damn I didn't realize how spoilled I've gotten. The rice I'm cooking in a cheap one just isn't as good. I think it is over-cooking the rice, but it's actually hard to dial in

this reminds me of how my friend recently used our entire allotment of coffee grounds to dial in the coffee maker at the place we were staying

ten probably hungover people the morning after a wedding, and this guy used all the grounds to make end up with 2/3 of a pot of coffee, then dipped before anyone else but me woke up

love the guy, but that was not what I wanted to enter the kitchen to see

You can put cinnamon rolls in a waffle maker to make instant cinnamon roll waffles.

What i dont get is how sushi and white rice is nearly identical.

My machine at home also does this. There is a minor difference in height indication but so narrow you can get the water to the top of one line and the bottom if the other line.

I have no idea what is in that image but it looks nothing like the brown rice I have here in Vietnam.

Looks like a neuro fuzzy. That thing will make decent rice even if you try to screw it up. Brown rice does take substantially longer to cook properly - your rice maker is likely figuring that out and picking up the slack.

Most of the brown rice you buy in grocery stores today is actually parboiled. Parboiled rice cooks with less water and in about the same amount of time as white rice. If you want real, genuine brown rice, you have to read the directions on the back. If it cooks in less than 30 minutes or 35 minutes, it's not really brown rice. It's parboiled. If the ratio of water to rice is less than two to one, then it's also parboiled.

I have no idea what all those buttons on a microwave are for. I just stick it in the box, and blast it in 30 second increments.

You can wash sheets on the towel setting.

People use those settings? It all goes through the heavy soiled gauntlet for me

Maybe others don't heavily soil their sheets

    Lol.

Going through a Red Light (after a complete stop) at 3am in a desolate area when you are the only car on the road.

Also depends on the type of Brown Rice. We have one now, that cooks the same as white, but I bought one before that had a super thick hard casing and even after an hour of boiling it was still crunchy
