How is this going to help gas stations become drive "thru?" (I see we still also haven't learned how to spell "through.") It's going to allow the gas station to do what, exactly, stick a nozzle in the side of your car?

That's already how filling a modern car with fuel works.

Ignoring all the safety concerns. Wouldn't this make the door heavier and rase the center of gravity. Also where is the window going to retract to. There would need to be multiple tanks all balanced. I don't think the tank placement is an issue for car designers.

How even do they expect this change to make drive-thru gas stations possible? They are already as drive-thru as they can be and the opening to fill the tank is already on the side of the car.

Instead, what we ought to do is have massive refuelling tankers just cruising around and we put the fueling port on the front so we can refuel mid-drive like a fighter jet.

Clearly the Ford Pinto and Saddle-tanked Chevrolet trucks are old enough for people to have forgotten about why we don't.

An idea like this, assuming it's not ragebait, would probably never leave the confines of this person's imagination and the AI's chat history.
