The sloth just hangs there and refuses to move. What do I do?

Put the sloth in water, it swims twice as fast than it moves on the ground

Feed it high nutritious food and wait for it to evolve back into giant ground sloths. It will be fucking sweet, might take a few millenia but the next best time to start is now.

The sloth now weighs over 100 kg and still doesn't move.

The giant ground ones were massive, they've caves that still exist from them digging. There were a bunch of other sloths too that got hunted out by the clovis hunters 10k years back or so.

The largest and grandest of these was the Megatherium, the extinct genus of the family Bradypodidae. This giant stood seven meters tall and weighed seven tons'

I am a mollusk. Bury me in sand and the ocean passes by above me. Let myself slowly graze on small green veggies and fuzzy growths.

Me too. I was doing a version of this where I would distance myself from my physical body and view it as separate/other in order to objectively care for nutrition, exercise, etc. needs when unmotivated. But this seems even better because it allows for distancing from the mental needs too. The tiger! Obviously!

Man, the lengths people go to ignore their emotions.

IANAP but it sounds like a coping mechanism for executive dysfunction

Ha ha, executive dysfunction, I forgot about that one a long long time ago.

If you've been trained to ignore your emotions (e.g. by gaslighting parental figures), then this is retraining towards a more healthy endpoint.

Yeah you are right, but at some point we all have to reckon with how we feel. Your emotions live with you and you can't keep that distance forever. It should give one pause to think if they are incapable of valuing their own emotional state at the same level as they do someone else's.
