This feels more like it's about the light bulb than the lamp.
Lamps tend to last a lot longer than light bulbs and, maybe I'm old school, but they tend not to have much of a circuit in them. In fact the bulb is what completes it and the lamp usually has a wire and a switch. That's not going to break easily.
... and modern LED bulbs do tend to have some kind of logic circuit in them to regulate current, putting another score for the bulb theory.

Im sorry, but that's just not the reason you would give up on a lamp, unless you are using some weird new tech bullshit. A lamp is two wires (sometimes three), a special lightbulb socket, a switch (technically in my own experience optional, but I was being a bit stupid, fixed it tho) and thats it. Its more complicated for LEDs, but we got led lightbulbs already, everything that could break is within that. Ive went through a couple of lamps and the reason Ive thrown them out was in most cases the plastic casing breaking. Sometimes the electric isolation gets worn down exposing a live wire - you throw that out because that's a health and fire hazard. Rarely there is a problem with the connectors, but in the one and only case Ive seen that makes the light dim, unstable, and emits a constant buzz. Obviously bad, technically functional. Overall a lamp is pretty much the very simplest house appliance youve got, and because of that the points of failure are limited
